Fist Maxxis Race of The Season

Feb 4th we took the team to Triple T Raceway for the 1st Maxxis race.

Vance 1st race at this track on his first qualifying run 2nd lap he got out of the groove in turns 3 and 4. This sent him into the wall exiting turn 4. Good lord looked after him in a hard hit and he walked away with no injuries and we think just body damage to the kart but qualified 11 out of 15. 2nd qualifying attempt he made two safe laps and ended up 9 out of 13. 1st race we only made three laps and got caught up in a wreck exiting turn 2. no caution was thrown so Vance exited track. Ended up 14 out of 15. Second race we started 9th and got to 8th, then 6 laps in a kart off the pace cut in front of vance in turn 3. Vance avoided the wreck and no caution was thrown so he exited the track. Ended up 13 out of 14. We had the worse night in racing I think we ever had but came home safe after a few close calls.

Jolea qualified 9th in the first race and finished 10th. She qualified 12th in the 2nd race and finished 10th.

Emmy qualified 10th in the first race and ended up 13. In the 2nd race she qualified 8th and ended up 12th.

Seth qualified 8th in the first race and finished 11th. In the second race he qualified 11th and finished 8th.

Conner qualified 14th in the first race and finished 8th. Qualified 10th in the 2nd race and finished 7th.

Jesse qualified 10th in his race and had engine troubles for the race.

Tyler qualified 7th for his first race and finished 4th. He qualified 7th in his second race and finished 7th.

First race as a team and first or second race at this track for most of the racers. We had a lot of bad luck and some good luck. We all had fun and we will keep diggin' and getting laps in. I have confidence that we will all continue to improve through the year. Thanks to all the sponsors that support each of these drivers. The kids and us parents will remember these days forever.
